Our Experiences with Spanish Culture
We all came to Pamplona without any special expectations...we were ready to accept all that this new culture had to offer. But of course, adjusting to a new culture can be a whirlwind of excitement and difficulty.
Here, we want to share some of our experiences with Spanish culture and give you some recommendations about how to adjust.
San Fermines
The San Fermines festival, or the Running of the Bulls, is a longtime tradition in Pamplona and attracts millions of people each year. It begins on the 6th of July with the “txupinazo,” or a rocket fired from City Hall. The running of the bulls occurs from the 7th of July until the 14th, and the bulls are released every morning beginning at 8 a.m.

The city of Pamplona is the capital of the Navarra region of Spain, and the Old City refers to the parts of Pamplona that were historically Roman. The city has a long and interesting story that is worth knowing exploring. There are a lot of places you can visit today in the city with a long history, like for example, La Ciudadela.
