Best Restaurants

Nicer restaurants:

Pamplona has a wide variety of restaurants serving types of food from many different countries. Below are some of the nicer restaurants where the meal might be a little more expensive, but very delicious. While we haven’t tried them all, here are our recommendations.

Fast Food (good for students):

Café Iruña

Cafe Iruña is located in the Plaza de Castillo in Pamplona, specifically at 44, 31001. It’s open from 8 a.m to 11 p.m. and is one of the largest restaurants in Pamplona serving sandwiches, salads, burgers, pasta, and more. We recommend eating at this restaurant in your first few days in Pamplona because it has food that all people will enjoy and helps familiarize you with the city center.

La Tagliatella

La Tagliatella is an Italian restaurant located not far from Cafe Iruña in the city center. The menu offers a long list of “build your own pasta” options with different kind of noodles, cheeses, and sauces. The restaurant has a cozy basement floor and an open, large main floor above it. While the food here is on the expensive side, the portions are so large that you’ll definitely be taking home leftovers.

La Crepería

La Crepería is a small crepe shop located in the Old Town. It is a bit of a hidden gem...you walk in, order whatever you’d like in your crepe, and watch them make it in front of you. Because there’s no seating in the restaurant, you can take your crepe and enjoy it while exploring the streets of Pamplona. It’s also great because you can get something sweet or savory.

San Ho Wu

San Ho Wu is a sushi restaurant located at Calle de S. Roque, 19, 31011. They serve sushi, noodles, nigiri, sashimi, soup, and more. The food always tastes good, but it’s especially good on Wednesdays when the menu is all you can eat for 16 euros per person. This is a great place to go with a group of friends on a Wednesday night and order a ton of food!

TGB - The Good Burger

The Good Burger is a chain restaurant located at Avenida de Pío XII, 41, 31008. It serves hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken, fries, ice cream, and more American-style foods. It has both indoor and outdoor seating for big and small groups. The restaurant is two-for-one on Thursdays, so we recommend bringing a friend and enjoying a good burger!

Wok to Walk

Wok to Walk is a restaurant where you can make your own noodle dishes for carry away or for in the restaurant. It is located in Itturama right on Pio XII. On Mondays and Thursdays, you can buy one base item and get the second one free. It’s an easy and affordable option, especially for students!

100 Montaditos

100 Montaditos is a classic Spanish restaurant chain, especially in a city like Pamplona filled with students. It has very cheap and yummy menu options including sandwiches, nachos, fries, burgers, and more. It is located in Itturama right on Pio XII. On Wednesdays and Sundays, it's 1 euro for anything on the menu! It’s a perfect option for students, we love to go there in groups of friends for drinks and snacks before going out at night!
